I never critized anyone for wanting that, but i just cant understand people taking it so serious
If someone tried to scam other people with a pic of my snake, i wouldnt think it was okay because he tried to scam, but it wouldnt ruin my nightsleep at all that he used my pic!
It's called basic respect. It's what is considered good manners. Don't take what's not yours. Ask for permission and when permission is granted - have at it.

I think the bottom line is the rule of the website. Don't use pictures that aren't yours. If you have a problem with it, maybe you should have read the TOS when you clicked "I agree". This website is VERY well established, and most likely isn't going to change a rule that alot of people respect, because of few people don't like it.

I understand how u guys feel about your pictures and stuff, but i still think people are overreacting a bit to be honest with all this copyright-stuff, jesus, it's just some pictures
When i someday become the worlds biggest bp-breeder, everyone can (ab)use my pictures as much as they want!
These pictures to some people, are their livelyhood. For someone to come along and 'steal' them off of the net is very wrong to do. My fiance's dad is a professional photographer and makes a living by selling photo's to magazines, websites, etc. I can totally understand why people are bothered by this. To many people they aren't "just some pictures".

Re: playing with a clown.
And how many of you have popped a cassette in a cassette player and recorded a song? Or burned off a CD, or DVD? Or downloaded a torrent for any kind of program? All of these are TECHNICALLY ILLEGAL, but it is done all the time, but I bet you don't think of yourselves as criminals??? Anyway in case you don't know, if you are really worried about someone using one of your pics you can HTML code it so it can't be copied!!!!

Re: playing with a clown.
Hi,
Those are also against the terms of the site as listed in the sites T.O.S.
8. No posts promoting illegal behavior will be tolerated, including but not limited to warez/pirating of copyrighted material, illegal drug or alcohol usage, and illegal ownership or trafficking of species.
And, sorry, but if it can be seen on the net it can be copied - do not rely on any html code to keep your pictures safe from reproduction. Watermark your images in a way that cannot be easily cropped out - Deborah did a nice tutorial on that using freely available software.

Re: playing with a clown.
The rules are the rules. You can disagree but it is still the rules of the website. Sure their are tons of ppl that do things they shouldn't all the time. Doesn't mean it is ok or should be just accepted or the rules here should be ignored or changed. Just how it is.....embrace it and move on

First because YOU do it does not mean everyone does it, I pay for my music downloads and buy my movies. (Obviously this is someone's work and I believe they should be compensated for their work)
Now as far as your HTML code that would prevent a picture from being copied...........yeah right it does not work.
The bottom line is to respect other's property even if the property in question is a media file.
But I guess those days respect and courtesy is way over-rated with some people
