    a few of mine were fine with no hide and others became stressed and went on food strikes. Sure enough once i put the hides back in they took there very next meal. Im not saying that no hide wont work as a lot of breeders dont use hides but ive had a mixed experience with it.

    I get what you are saying definitely, I keep hides for all upto around 500g depending on how aggressive they are with feeding. The most I've had from removing a hide in my experience is a missed meal, but I also have paper in my racks so the ones that like to hide will go under the paper. Sorry I should have explained myself better
