Well I hate to state the obvious but than why ask what the best investment is?
When talking purely about investment here is something YOU need to think about.
You buy the best example of a morph you can find you will produce good looking to outstanding babies you buy a poor example of a morph and you will produce more of the same.
Now let's say you produce poor example of the morph you pick what do you think will happen when you put them on the market?
You might be able to sell them at a very low price, but are also very likely to get stuck with them……so how is that a good investment???
Also if you can’t afford an extra $50 or $100 what else can’t you afford? Vet Cost? Feeding? Housing?
Can you even afford breeding because I can tell you it does not come cheap (Hatchling rack, incubator, rodent rack etc)
I am glad you are happy about your “deal” but again not the average this is a desperate situation apparently.
Something else you need to wonder when you see “good deals” it is whether or not there might be some issues.
Don’t you wonder why someone would sell an animal that is a proven breeder at that price?
Yeah she might have laid but did she lay slugs, were all the babies viable and healthy etc, is she a picky feeder etc?
Other thing how will the breeder take care of you, will he be there before and after the sale or will he pocket your money and be gone next day?
And again those prices are not the norm YOU are shopping for the “deal” rather than the animal and I doubt in the long run it will be a worthy investment.
