Thumbs up The inside story on the proposed snake ban; U.S. Fish and Wildlife Ignore Science

The inside story on the proposed snake ban; U.S. Fish and Wildlife Ignore Science

Overall, the Reptile industry is an estimated $3 Billion a year industry, of which the Boa and Python (and related supplies) hold the vast majority of the market share. In short, if this extreme anti-scientific agenda of the USFWS is passed, the stewards of these magnificent animals will not only lose their livelihoods, but many will in effect, lose their entire net worth. Also lost will be the freedom to enjoy these animals from the pure joy of interacting with them. Thousands of classrooms and institutions across our nation, who currently study these animals, will lose the right to do so, and if Senate bill (S373) is passed, moving the listed boas and pythons across state lines will become a felony.

Wow....thank you for posting that. UGH....ppls crazy agendas!! In a time where unemployment is at an all time high and we are close to recession, even though some will deny it, and ppl are loosing their houses left and right, etc. etc. It is always a good idea to wipe out a $3 billion dollar industry. And I am convinced that if they win this ....it will not be the end....it will just fuel their fire.

I'd feel better about the article if that site weren't so incredibly right wing. Remember who still holds the majority of the seats. THOSE are the senators you need to convince.

"As you may know, Senator Bill Nelson (D-Florida) introduced a bill (S.373) that would ban the importation of constrictor snakes and pythons into the United States." How do you feel about the democrats now? This is their idea.

I think anybody who tries to win support for their cause by demonizing the majority party is a fool.
