SFE When your son runs in the room

My beautiful and wonder Super Dwarf Retc bit the crap out of me just now. So its feeding day. I check all the snakes. I pull her tub out and she is fine. My son runs in the room and around me and freaks my girl out. She starts jerking her head back and forth trying to watch him and then latches on to the closest thing. My hand! Then she thinks she is going to throw some coils around my arm. So I grab her and she lets go pretty fast but she is very worked up now. Im bleeding like mad so I quickly stuff her back in the tub and go wash my aching hand. Why do they always have to hit all the nerves??? It doesnt look bad but even the little 5/6 ft retics have alot of jagged teeth. Im a little sore now with tingles running up my arm.

    Enjoy!!!

Snake bites have their upsides If you female, Most guys would love how the scars got their And if your male "Chicks dig scars" Seriously though I am glad it wasn't major and your girl didn't get hurt. Just my 2 cents but I usually lock the doors in the reptile room when I am feeding for various reason your situation being one of them,

I feel your pain. I got tagged by a 7-8 footer years ago. He swallowed my left thumb and latched on to the meaty part of my hand. Only thing, he didn't let go. Dunked him in a sink of water and still didn't let go. Then he starts chewing on my hand. It was bad for awhile. Water was red. Should have gotten stitches, but hey, I'm a man. I don't need no stinking stitches.

    Ouch!!

But kudos on remembering to take a pic for us.

Maybe you should ask boaphile if they make a cage large enough for your son.

That way you only need to remember to lock one cage during feeding day.

Scars?? Oh this bite will completely disappear. Its nothing compared to surgical scars I have from being hit by a truck 6 yrs ago. And yes, I hated them for awhile but people are facinated with them! lol

My son is 5. He would break out of a steel cage! He saw her bite me and it freaked him out so much he took off. I dont think I will need to yell at him anymore about coming in that room when I'm busy in there

And YOU!!! I have nothing to say to you....

I think you're right though. It was like she chose my hand. It almost happened in slow motion. I watched her go after my hand but didnt move in time. Im used to getting hit by baby balls. This was reminiscent of a bite yrs ago I got from a big burm. Only not nearly as bad this time. Fun stuff!
