They seem to be two different lines of the same morph. The original sugars started out in Europe and then I know of two calico lines here. Now we have some sugars here in the states as well. Some say one is higher white than the others but they also are quite sporadic with the white, high whites can produce low whites and visa versa, kinda like pieds except they are co-dominant.

Just based off of the pics I have seen nothing comes close to the sugars that I have seen from the Rene Valentin line. This is purely a matter of opinion though.
