    In my experience, the blues are genetically weak. I love blues, tried breeding blues, but I always had blues and blue hoodeds that died in labor or just died for no reason. Because they are so popular in the pet trade, they are over-bred (it's recessive) to produce more blues for the pet stores.

    Thank you Robin...That was my initial gut and slowly being affirmed by the posts...I'll keep trying, but understanding that they may pass away...Knock on wood, I have a blue stud who's doing great...He's also a pet too, so hopefully that helps...who knows...But thank you...
