Re: Help , My ball regurged while cleaning :SS
Had you recently treated the snake for anything? Mites or anything? Did it come in contact with any chemical? What kind of substrate are you using?
If the warm side of the enclosure is up around 90 degrees and the ambient is 80 or higher then there is some other reason the mouse was not digested.
I asked the other questions because sometimes after treating for mites or infection etc.. They can get the "runs" and the poop might look like a half digested mouse. If it is clearly an undigested mouse then either the snake is sick and could not properly digest it, or it was not warm enough to digest. Maybe there was something wrong with the mouse?? IDK
Whatever you do, if it was a regurge, do not feed the snake for a couple weeks. Give it a chance to recover before attempting to feed again.
I hope you get it figured out.

That's what I'm thinking. Plus, are you controlling the UTH with a thermostat? I don't think changing the feeding schedule had anything to do with this, neither does feeding 6 days after instead of 7. Some people feed their snakes every 3 days, and some others will feed theirs every 5, so I know that it not the case. I would consider getting a digital thermometer, those are very accurate. Stick it on the bottom of the enclosure right above the UTH and tell us the temps. If you do not have it controlled by a thermostat your snake can get burns and can also die from overheating.

it doesn't to me. it pooped 2times before that, black poop (its shown in one of the pictures the second one or maybe thats what you saw? ) only the first picture shows the mouse. the second shows the scene with poop and splashing on the news paper and the third shows a close up on the splashing and part of the poop. i made the second and the third pics as a reference to show the splashing maybe somebody can identify if its vomit or not.
but i assure that the first pic doesnt show poop, it feels like meet, it doesnt break up too unless they can poop undigested mice anyway.
btw, should i leave her 15days without food and then start feeding her again like with corns?

If you ever had a cat throw up a hair ball its the same thing sometimes when snakes poop out a hair ball since they cant not digest fur. that is not a regurge, as a regurge you would not be playing with it as it will stink up the whole room to where you would be gagging

It looks like poop to me also. I find that my snakes have different "kinds" of poop. Sometimes they come out looking brown and like regular poop. Sometimes all they are all hairy... And no the hairy ones won't just break apart if you touch it. Don't ask me how I know this.

Ok sorry but that was funny!
it kind of looks like a funky urate in a way but the pic is blurry and hard to tell.
I think the key here is that you handled the snake 24 hrs after feeding right? You should not handle for 48 hours...espcially if you gave it a bath or something. Either way...and I am by no mean super knowledgable.....I would probably wait the 2 weeks to feed again just in case it was a regurge. But that is just me and I am typically a paraniod mom.
By the way...I think Coolio Tiff was asking if you have a thermometer on your UTH...making sure it is controlling the UTH. Otherwise those UTH's can just get as hot as they want.
I think she understood that you have a temp gun on the way.

48 hrs is general rule but i hold many 24 hrs after at times no ill effect what so ever. Then again i feed smaller prey more often to keep them content rather full.
and your thinking of thermostat which controls heating, a thermometer only reads the heat.
