True... I would think that after 6 months of not having the right animal the breeder would notice. lol

That snake is a male. I'm one of the guys that popped it.

    My guess is sperm.

Check it out under a microscope and see.

If it is you owe me a big ol beer next month.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

I wonder if maybe it was something the prey item ate which it didn't absorb and he could not absorb either.

    Re: Help... What is this?

A couple of questions, if you will?

    1. How old/how much does the snake weigh?

    2. Can you seperate each of the 4 orbs?

I know you and others have checked this snake, but I'd bet a dollar to a dounut that these are unfertillized eggs.

I can't see where these could be anything but eggs.

I have heard where females can produce fertilized eggs without the need of a male snake, where the offspring are actually clones of the female (mother), all offspring are female and have the ability to lay fertilized eggs without the use of a male snake.

But I've never heard of male snakes laying any type of eggs.

I don't know, maybe get in touch with Brian or any big time breeder and see if they can help you.

    Good Luck!

    Re: Help... What is this?

I may have missed this info..so..

I am assuming the snake was all alone in the tub so there is no doubt that HE produced that pile?

If so, that leads to my next question...

You said the snake is a proven breeder, did you put him with female and observe the coupling (his tail under hers and hemis inserted), or did someone simply tell you that the snake is a proven breeder?

Have you probed the snake yourself?

You are correct to assume that the snake is alone in the tub. He has not locked for me, in fact shown no interest in the girl he has been paired with. The breeder I did get him from says he has used him before. No I have not probed the snake myself but then again I do not know how to probe. I have a friend who is currently out of town that can do it for me.

    Re: Help... What is this?

Have there ever been any confirmed cases of hermaphrodites in snakes? What if it is male and female and those are partially reabsorbed eggs? I'm throwing out anything I've got here. That is weird man.

    Re: Help... What is this?

id put my last dollar .... to that he is in fact a she .... and that these are unabsorbed eggs ... think about it ..you havent witnessed a lock and he/she has no interest in the female that you tried he/she with ... and in fact that if this was a male and that was seamen ... he would be all over any lady that you place in front of him ... i would def get second opinions on the sex of this snake
