Follicles are not even eggs yet from my understanding. If I'm not mistaken when she moves her eggs up into the oviducts, this is called ovulation. During ovulation she will actually use the males sperm to shell and fertilize the eggs at that time. The time between her developing follicles and actually ovulating could vary a lot. There are things that can help push a female into ovulation, like, feeding the a decent sized meal or continuing to introduce the male.
