Re: Lapse in judgment (not for the squeamish)

This thread is so good that I just HAD to bump it!

& I thought I was tore up when I got bit by a burm like 15 years ago. I wish I could have seen her reaction. Its great when you can just say "ummm, he bit me" lol.

Did it leave a scar? Should post an update

As it turns out the on coming car did NOT see me and I literally came inches from catching a grand am with by backside and it swooshed by at 30 miles an hour. Even stranger (since I don't have a death wish) is that the only thing I was thinking was "OH_____ ," and "DON'T HIT IT"

It definitely gave me pause. The things I learned were, A. I need to get a snake hook for the car and B. NEVER EVER EVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE TRAFFIC.

also consider a bright jacket like joggers and other people were that got the reflective tape on it. have it wit hthe snake hoo kt omake sure you remember to put it on.. But that why I limit my snakes to ball pythons or smaller and if it larger it a 2 person rule minium. hte only snake I not worried about has been my rescued redtail boa she so tame I could pry her mouth open and tryot count teeth if i was brave enough to try lol..

A year and a half later she still has numbness in her hand and can literally stick a needle in parts of her hand and not feel it.

Wow that sucks. I was bitten by a huge rat that left nerve damage like that. It took years for the tingling to go away in my finger.

Hopefully eventually those nerves will start firing right and it will only be a memory and a tiny scar Kara's a tough one! Thats for sure!

Wow this was a very impressive thread. Pretty snake but holy geez....that was quite the bite.. Crazy she still has nerve damage.

The best had to be her stating that it was trying to eat her had so gently. That was too cute!

    I liked the verbal exchange...

    " How big?"

    "Pretty damn big..."

"Cry, Havoc! And let slip the dogs of war..."

yeah nevers are hte slowest to grow it seems I sitll have some slight numbness in 2 toes over 20 years aftera surgery to help me walk straighter. the toe in question were compelety numb on the surface ( skin wise) bt I could feel the pressure if you squeezed/stuck something into them. now it feels like I got a sockor something heavy on them if you just touching them.
