    New Rats

I got two new rats to breed when they are old enough. I'm estimating them to be around 6-7 weeks old. The male is a cream color and weighs 172g. The female is agouti? I think, and weighs around 160g. I was able to get pictures of female before my camera's battery ran out.

I plan on getting another pair of rats once I move so that the female will have a cage mate and the male will have a cage mate. I know they should not be bred until they are 16 weeks of age but I was wondering what their weights should be.

Ha! Got one more pic out of the camera before it died for good. Here is Creampuff, the male. I'm sure he's not a true cream but he is something else. I just can't place it.

Nice colors man, where do you get your different colored rats? Do you have a breeder who has every different kind or something?

Thanks for the reply. I get them all from pet stores or reptile stores that carry feeders. These three came from a pet store as feeders.

    Re: New Rats

I can start breeding Nutmeg and Noel as of February 1st, so I'm excited to start breeding these guys. I want to get some more interesting colors when I move and have space for more rats.
