Look in the back of ALL your closets. They will choose security over temperatures, and will even get into places lethally cold.

I would be careful if you have dogs or cats. I could see that going south if they found it. Good luck!

If you have a heating pad (used when you have sore muscles), plug it into the wall and leave it lying on the floor up against the wall. If you can get it in the corner of the room behind something, that would be better. If you have something to put infront of the heating pad, you will in effect, make a warm hiding spot for him to find. Close the heat vent if you have one in that room. What you want is the heating pad to be the warmest thing in the room.

Set your alarm clock for sometime in the night, maybe 3 am. If he's in the room, he'll be there.

    Good Luck!

    Re: Help!! Ball Python Lost

I know ball pythons and corn snakes are different. But I had my snakes in a 3 drawer rack sitting up on a counter. My one corn snake escaped from the bottom drawer within 5 seconds of my last seeing him in there. After about 5 minutes of frantic looking, he was curled up in a tiny box sitting about 10 inches from the rack. Check the immediate surroundings.

Seems like when snakes escape, their first thought is "I'M FREEE! Oh no! Where to hide!"

"They are NOT rights if they can be taken away. Merely limited privleges."

Try spread some flour on the floor - then you can track him down.

Oof, I didn't like this last update.

I hope we're not smelling something nasty and burning now...

If you know anyone that is able to scan the house with a thermal camera you may be able to find him. I helped a buddy out with my fathers thermal camera. I was able to see into the walls for cols spots and warm spots in the shape of the snake.

My guy got out in the basement and went upstairs and under a dresser so expand your search if needed.
