Oh BP morphs galore...
I am going to build a bp rack, to hold my male and female normals plus two others for a total of 4 (duhh) but its the kind of morphs that always put me off. Its either can't afford it, don't see me owning one, and the most common "Oh man, mom will freak!" Anyway, for a small private collection, what do you think? You know, like the basics morphs like the ones under 500, such as cinny's, pastels, spiders, pins, mojos, lessers, and being lucky, a male albino. Thanks guys

You can probably find a bumble bee for around $500 (spider x pastel) and that will give you 2 morphs instead of just one.

It all depends on your personal preference -- what do you want to have in your small collection? Are you planning on breeding in the future? If so, what morphs do you want to breed or do you have any ideas for designer morphs? Just some things to think about.
For me personally, if I were to get two morphs for $500 or under, I would get an orange ghost and an albino. Both are morphs that I could admire for decades.
Would you breed a wobbler dog even though it had a cool coat?

The problem is for me is that I like a lot of the morphs under 500 just I don't got money for all of them. They are your basic morphs, so one way of getting them is by breeding morphs that involve 2 basic morphs, like a lemon blast or bumblebee etc. I do want to breed but in 2 years I'm going to my local college so I might not be able to have a breeding program. My personal choice is a spider and a lesser but I would like some recommendations too.

Re: Oh BP morphs galore...
Spider and lesser are good choices. If you really want to have the ingredients to start making some nice morphs and combos try to get one that has the pastel gene in it. Like Bee. Or get a female lesser and spider and a male pastel. Then you can make some killer morphs right off the bat. If you get them all as hatchlings you should be able to afford them.
Just shop around when you are ready. Start putting back a little money now and just save up til you find just the right ones.

$500 dollars for a bumble bee , not saying you cant find one but if your going to spend some money spend a couple hundread more for a nice one, in my opinion you get what you pay for and in return your babys wont be as nice as they could be!!!

Re: Oh BP morphs galore...
asking what morph to buy is like asking what should be my favorite color? Pick what you like, plain and simple.
now if you want to talk about breeding tho some things to think about.
females take 2-3 years to breed, males less than a year, so most people when they start buy their females first.
when looking at combo morphs, to get gentically farther the fastest, have your females be your recessive/co-dom morphs (when going for supers).
example- you want killerbees, say you get a male pastel and a female spider, you breed them get bumblebees and now you have to wait for a female bumbleebee to grow up (2-3 years) b4 you can bred her back to dad.
male spider and female pastel, you breed them, get a male bumblebee and less than a year you can breed him back to mom.
of corse the morph your going for can change what your females and males will be for the quickest results.

If you are thinking lesser and spider it sounds like you answered your own question.... Both are very nice and the combo would impressive. If thats what tickles your fancy go for it..... also if you find a deal on a nice butter they are very similar to lesser, so that would give you another option
