Re: Big Gunns needs opinions from his fans

BG don't let it bother you, I'm a pretty good judge of character, and I say you've got a lot of it. You aren't mean, you contribute to this community in a positive manner, and it seems that just about everyone (except those who are generally dislikable themselves) seems to like you.

You're full of enough character but not enough of a people pleaser to put SOMEONE off. I suppose if someone really gets their panties in a wad by reading anything typed in the 3rd person, well they're just weirdos who get upset over nothing.

The people who really put me off on these forums are the ones who are just mean-spirited. This is supposed to be a community helping one another, not your average annonymous interwebs hate-spewing "look at the size of my e-p33n" forum. I don't accuse them directly, I just smile and hope that they eventually see that their methods of interacting aren't welcome.

It's easy to assume someone with a big ego is self-centered, uncaring, and generally selfish. I think it's safe to say that this is not the case with you.

It doesn't bother BG all that much. This is just as much a help thread as it is as anything. Although BG loves it when people get all worked up, he just wanted to show that it's really kinda foolish when you really think about. BG can understand if a newbie doesn't "get it", but if you've been here for a while, you should. Wouldn't yah think?

Hold on...when it comes to getting all the attention. Big Gunns is very "selfish". BG has a feeling a couple old bp.net timers don't like it either. Everyone should relax though. BG is willing to share the spotlight....for a fee.

Re: Big Gunns needs opinions from his fans

Wow isn't that a loaded question!!! There are lots of why's when it comes to the human race. Sometimes...why ask why!! If ppl do not want to listen to you and ignore you...then quite frankly....their loss. I believe you have a ton of great information....and the third person thing....its your thing.

My very intelligent hubby says (usually when I am appalled at a soccer Mom talking crap)...that some ppl are "lacking things" in their life. They are not happy with themselves and their life therefore they have to complain or just overall be mean to others to makes themselves feel better. (ok so that is the PG version)...he actually says either they are not having enough nookie or just not good enough, not enough money or house not big enough....yada yada. Basically in short....IT'S THEM. So why bother to ask why. Though I have to admitt when ppl treat me like that .....it really does bug me.

I would like to add to the "book" I just wrote....I don't think BG has a huge ego...I think he just plays one on BP. I personally cannot wait to meet you someday!!

I personally could only understand the need for the "ignore" button if someone were abusing the pm feature. If I am not interested in someone's response in the forum, I just don't read it. I admit that when I first read a BG response, I thought "great, one of those types". I did read it through, though and have since found out how knowledgable and helpful BG really is. Small minded people that are unwilling to take advice from someone like BG will be the ones suffering in the end. Thanks for being here and sharing your knowledge, BG.

I don’t mind the Big gunns at all. Makes me laugh and I love to laugh. But you do seem a bit needy. You worry too much about what other people think of you. You might act like to don’t but you really do crave attention. Try to worry less about what people think and just be yourself.
You have allot of info stuffed into your grape and you willingly share it with anyone who asks. But you have a weird way of doing it that is different but funny. People with no sense of humor will ignore you but so what. It’s their loss. And all the info you poses they will miss out on. And take some darn pics of your monitors already.

I find you to be very humorous. You seem to know your stuff about snakes so the way you refer to yourself in the third person doesn't really bother me.
