    Female ball ready to go?

I have a female spider that hatched in July 08. She is about 1300 grams. Would next years breeding season be to early to put her with my male? I know they say usually 2 or 3 winters but I dont wanna try her out too early

While the search function is a useful tool, and we do encourage its use, if we insisted that all topics not be repeated, then there wouldn't be many discussions happening here.

To the OP - if she continues to eat and grow, she should be just fine to go next season!

Some of Big Gunns search function wisdom is being passed on.. Always remember people, it's a forum for interacting with people with a common interest....not a place to just find facts.

Big Gunns doesn't want to get the 3 winter 1500 gram police mad(yes he does), but she could breed this year if you wanted.

Thanks for the insight. Next time ill use the search feature...

I might try her out but I also dont wanna mess her up for future years and have her consistantly lay smaller clutches. Still up in the air

Re: Female ball ready to go?

I'd say if you have any doubt over whether you'd like to or not, don't. Wait for next year. She's young. I have an '06 that I'm not breeding this year just because she's not big enough. She's old enough for sure, but is only up to 1100g.
    Under Construction.....
