Ok I don't understand all this rate the snake stuff...

its always rate 1,2,3,4,5 and every poll is the same most people put 4 and some people put 3 and some scattered votes. now no offence to anyones snake but some of this polls are just "typical" snakes, and their getting rated 4 star ratings? I mean what do you have to post to get a 1 or 2 rating? i mean not all snakes can be 5's and some have to be 1's or is this like guitar hero and you can only get 3-5 star ratings, which in reality makes 3 bottom of the barrel? and don't say "all snakes are beautiful to me" then hows your vote really mean anything?

now ill ask what would you vote my pinstripe, i know how I would rate her, but tell me what you voted and why, and no im not going to get offended what you vote, im a big boy, i just want to see what you people are thinking.

I think you make an excellant point, ratings can have nothing to do with all aspects of making a decision on whether or not an example of a morph is good or bad.

My rating is a perfect example.....i give it a 3 because I like reduced pattern pins......does that make yours a bad example of the pin morph? Of course not.....I think that is a nice looking bp and with the right mate you can take advantage of that busy pattern appearance.....!

also i guess what your saying is people are rating based on if they like the snake or not, neglecting if its a good example of the morph or not?

then that really makes me wonder why we have these threads. I mean theres plenty of morphs I don't like, should I rate all pieds 1 and all lessers 5? i never cared for pieds, but i can pick out whats a good example of a pied, and also I love lessers but I have seen some that really are not good examples, doesn't mean their not cool or have potential, just its simply not a good example. and that shouldn't offend anyone eigher.

I gave it a 1 just to be the first to do so since you stated you are basically indifferent to these poll ratings , but I really would have scored it around a 3 because I am neither partial nor impartial towards pins. Neat pattern though.

    i gave it a 5.

i love the busy patterns on pinstripes.

the pattern on yours has the dorsal stripes, then a break near the middle, then the stripes start again =]. that just looks AWESOME.

    I like a busy pin.

But to get a 5, the snake would have to be one of a kind. There could only be 1-2 in the world to get that grade IMO.

Because yours, is busy and that's what I like, I would say a 3. It's a normal good looking pin.

But not everyone have the same table that I use.

Re: Ok I don't understand all this rate the snake stuff...

    i voted a 4.
i was torn between 4 and 3, but i went with 4 because it is still a beautiful snake.

IMO, Pins should have a clear stripe all the way down.
yours starts off with a nice one on his head and from midway down his tail tot he tip he has a nice clear stripe, but his mid to upper body is all cluttered.
this of course is just my opinion of a clean Pinstripe, doesnt mean it is everyone else's.

That being said, i have only ever seen a handful of Pins i would rate a 5.

Re: Ok I don't understand all this rate the snake stuff...

I voted 2. A 1 vote would require a really unhealthy looking snake on top of an undesirable (to me) pattern and / or "wrong" coloring.

Personally, I prefer 100% clean stripes with no break in the line on either side. Breaking or lots of speckling / funky stuff in the stripe just take away from the overall look of the morph. (I also have slim hopes that said 100% clean stripes will make extremely reduced, glorious pin-morph babies!)

I will make one exception to my own "rule" and admit that insanely busy pins are love though. But it has to be an all or nothing thing - not half busy and half clean, y'know?
