Once here and then I decide to expand my knowledge about snakes and especially ball pythons - who isn't?

And the internet isn't always a reliable source compared to a book about snakes. So I went for a look and found this line on a breeders web-site that just doesn't sound right in my ears.:

Because our snakes are raised by hand, and come from a lineage of hand raised parents, a bite from a Ball Python is indeed rare.

I couldn't stop thinking whether this is some really lame info in order to make people buy his snakes or whether this is actually true. I sincerely think that is a very cheesy speach because ball pythons are very reluctant to bite (never been tagged myself).

But I would like to get some other peoples thoughts and ideas about this one.
