Plus, my only other plug-producing male is the Axanthic, and I would rather not pair him with her because I couldn't be 100% sure the offspring would be hets or not if I lose the morph lottery and get all normals.

If your axanthic is a visual axanthic all the offspring would be 100% het.

Edit: Checked the sig. Yeah you'd make all hets if you paired him up.
