What is the best wattage for heat lamps to use for a 20gal?
flexwatt works best
"So far this is the oldest that I've been"
'If you can make it through the nite, there's a brighter day'
"I'm out the game, put the 2nd string in."
"live with the pain and keep trying or die knowing you never gave anything a chance"
"Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside while still alive"
"No one can take away your dreams"
UTHs are best, but the rest depends on your ambient temps. I live in a friggin' meat locker, so I have to go with overkill on the CHEs to keep Simon's temps at an acceptable level. If you don't happen to cohabitate with the Abominable Snowman, you can probably eliminate some of the wattage.
Essentially, you need whatever heat lamp(s) that is/are necessary to maintain appropriate temps. Not that helpful, but the ambient temps do play a large part in it. Belly temps are easy to maintain with UTHs.
The fewer heat lamps, CHEs, etc. that you use, the fewer issues with humidity you'll have to deal with.

Reason: This forum keeps forcing random capitalization on me, no matter how many times I preview/edit. Ugh.
