Re: Is there a "special" way to...

As I said, I paid the price for a breeder or at least soon to be breeder and I dont mind that at all. You take the same risk paying for a breeder animal that it might take a year off, is paying the extra money for that counting chickens?

If the snake had stopped feeding on its own that would be a completely different matter that would have been fine. However I do not feel like this is something the snake did on her own, which is why I feel ripped off.

you might want to inform her that while her policy only covers doa im sure false advertising is covered by the courts!

    whats this "breeders" name?

You said she weighed 700g's and she had lost 100g's, which means an 800g snake. Depending if you are going by the 1500g rule, that is barely half of a breeders weight.

Yes, buying a snake to breed, assuming it is going to be breeding weight in 3 months, is "counting your chickens before they hatch."

As I said in my first post, I was hoping for her to breed very late in the year. I normally dont start breeding until April-May. 9-10 months seemed like an acceptable time to me.

I think it is fair to expect that a snake would GAIN weight rather than loose weight in a three month period if cared for correctly.

What was the exact weight the snake was advertised as and what was the exact weight she arrived at?

I went back and looked at me emails with her and she was 780g, so a little less than 800g. Here is a pic of her today

So she is 93g less than advertised as on July 21st.
