    Albino or Pin?

Here is what I have...09 Female Spider and 09 Male Pastel 100% het hypo. Both still have PLENTY of time until they are ready to breed.

I am looking to eventually breed these snakes. What would benefit me more...an Albino or Pin? Also...should I go for another female or male? Another female would leave me with more combos per season, so would that be my best bet? What are some of the possible outcomes from these potential combos (all I know spinner = spider x pin)? Decisions decisions...

    Thanks in advance!
    -Jordan

    Albino spiders.. MmMmm good!

Spinners are nice, but if you have a spider and a pinstripe, the spinner will not really make your small collection pop like an albino or pied. Just my 2 cents.

How about an Albino male (to breed to the Spider female) to make Spiders het Albino (and ultimately Albino Spiders) and a female Pastel (to breed to the male Pastel) to make Super Pastels poss het Ghost (and ultimately Super Pastel Ghosts)

That would open up your possibilities and you could trade off some of the extra offspring for other morphs.

    Re: Albino or Pin?

Spider albino does sound awesome! The only problem is that I had my heart set on breeding for a Bee with these too (which sort of answers my own question).

What would a bee to albino produce? This is thinking way down the road but that could be fun? If I got the female albino and my bee project happens to throw me a male Bee or even a male spider...I could possible breed them in a few years? Then I always would have a nice female albino.

There are just way too many options out there now days...

    Thanks for the input guys!

There are a ton of options. You just need to figure out what YOU like and breed for that. That's what we all do. If you breed for fun and enjoyment, you can never go wrong.

If you are gonna be in the market for a female albino, let me know. Maybe I can make you a deal.

What do you have? I just emailed the breeder that I bought my pastel and spider from today to see if he has any. All of the snakes we are looking to buy are also just snakes that we have always liked...breeding will just be an added bonus!

my email is demmien@hotmail.com. feel free to send me some pics and prices!

Plenty routes to take. How about a female codom het hypo to go with your pastel het hypo.

Could you explain please? What exactly is codominant? Would that be like an Albino het hypo?

    Spider and Pastels are co-dom

Albinos and Hypos are not, they are recessive.
