Looking for kind words, my boyfriend has testicular cancer

What happened with me was I started to have pain alot and I mean I wasnt getting hit or anything I would jsut be waling around like walmart or something and just start hurting and I didnt want to go to the doctor for almost a year because I was embarrased and then finally I felt a lump and really freaked out so I went to the hospital one night becuase I was in EXTREME pain. And there ultrasound machine they have there they dont operate at night so I had to be scheduled to come back in the next week for an ultrasound and when I got there the room was filled with pregnant women and I was the only guy there and it was very uncomfortable. You could tell they were wondering what I was doing there. And then when I was called to go back in I got on the table and when they started with the machine somethign happened and it stopped working so someone had to come in and fix it. And when the women checked she told me I had two cyst and I didnt even know about the other one. She also said I have alot of bad tissue there thats been damaged over the years from riding bikes and skating. And she made me an appointment with a specialist and he looked at me and said that 99% of all males have cysts down there but most of them do not ever relize they are there because they do not bother them. He said some will go away some will grow in size and some can be cancerous. But one thing he told me is that they usually do not bother guys and they dont hurt. Well mine hurt really bad sometimes. He told me he didnt think they were cancerous. And sent me on my way. Well I didnt feel comfortable with that because he siad they dont hurt and mine did so I went to another doctor and he is the one that said he wants to keep track of it and check up on me every so often. I get an ultrasound every 3rd visit so its every couple of months. And he said since im so young he doesnt want to operate and take them out but he said if they start to grow or if they continue to cause pain or if he see signs of it becoming cancerous he is going to take them out. Its very uncomfortable for a guy to get an ultrasound although the more I do it the more comfortable Ive become with it. But I do hope everything goes well with your boyfriend from what the doctors have told me though is that its a very simple procedure and testicular cancer has a very high success rate for recovering cancer free. But its always scary when cancer is involved with anybody in any part of there bodys

I'm very sorry to hear about your boyfriend. I am a Registered Nurse and I will tell you that it does have an extremely high success rate. So keep your heads up, focus on proper nutrition and staying positive and you'll be making babies in no time (hugs)

Thank you! It's definitely reassuring to know that the success rate of being cancer free is very high. Wednesday seems like it's taking forever to get here!
