I have no problem with frivolous lawsuits at all.
I feel bad when it happens to individuals such as a small-time grocery owner who gets sued because a woman falls in his store while walking around in her stilettos while shopping.

I feel bad when a state government, such as the one in this article here, who is already suffering a 624mil dollar deficit, has the potential to be held liable for 150 mil over something that has nothing to do with the state.

I dont feel bad if Coca Cola or Mcdonald's get sued for making people fat. I just don't care about them being robbed of a couple million, because at some point they did something negative to get as big as they did.

Frivolous lawsuits are ridiculous no matter who the defendant is, or how much they make.
Say that to me again when you have a chance at a 40 millon dollar case over something stupid. They're ridiculous until you're in the plaintiffs shoes, watching a settlement agreement being reached for 20 mil. Turn that down, dare you.

Bottom line, lawsuits are the American way. What can you really do?
