    I believe it's a trait that seems to be attached to the CA super motley... sort of like the duckbilled trait in super cinnys and spinning in spiders. The combo is "tweaked". There's nothing wrong with the snake... they still eat fine, and can breed. Meaning, even if you just breed to a normal, you'll get lots of perfectly normal looking little CA motleys
