Boa in my collection, just a few this time :) *newbies*

Well, I want one thats sort of big, but not huge. lol. Close to the 6 foot range would be good. The only reason I dont want a huge one is because it would eat alot. Last reptile show I was at had, in my mind, nice looking male RTB babies for $65. The red on the tail looked great.
Im not sure what the pricing usually is but... I almost got one that day. I decided not to since it would have been 100% impulse.

Feeding my ball costs almost nothing since I got bulk hopper mice.

A normal colombian boa would probably work out alright. And actually, contrary to what you might think, adult boas need far less food than you might think. ( Larger prey, of course, but less, overall in quantity)

Once every other week is fine, and as they get older, longer durations wont hurt them any.

If you speak to those/ or check out websites like www.riobravoreptiles.com who keep many large adult BCI ( and other species BCC and such), you can learn about feeding and such, as well as care for the different boas out there. Boas need less food, in general, and they should not be overfed, ( Very easy to do )

Also, cheap, is not always better. Look at breeders who maintain good quality collections, and are very strict about their husbandry routines. You want a healthy robust boa, not just a random pet shop one.
