Re: Purple Passion? Angel Of Death? Soul Sucker?

Okay, didn't know the granite was an ingredient. The Hidden Gene Woma is listed on NERD's site right now for $3,500. I also got that directly from an e-mail to Kevin earlier this year. So, has anybody developed the combo with a regular Woma and if so, what did it look like? I think I have seen someone with a Lesser/Regular Woma (might have been Northern Regius but not 100% sure) and it looked pretty close to the Soul Sucker from what I remember.

I'm not really sure when the granite started getting listed as part of the inferno either, as that's not what Kevin said on Reptile Radio or to me, nor is it listed in the German edition of The Complete Ball Python where he first shared the ingredients.

I don't understand why there is so much secrecy with these combos. It would seem that revealing the ingredients would increase the sale of them. Keeping the genetics secret just doesn't seem to make sense unless they are only the beginning of another combo.

Sometimes they just don't know. If you breed two snakes together with 8 different mutations between the two of them, and you hatch out a crazy looking animal, sometimes it is hard to know what it carries. I mean, at what point do you start differentiating between whether or nor a lesser super pastel woma spider enchi desert might carry a yellowbelly gene as well? Really the only way to find out for sure is to breed that animal to a bunch of normals and see what pops out.

In addition, secrecy has been part of the reptile hobby forever. I agree, I don't like it and I think it's stupid. However, some people get a kick out of making themselves seem, for lack of a better word, "reptile-1337", by keeping projects a secret. I suppose they also might have monetary reasons to do so, which I also dislike.

Matt is the one that told me. He said that the ones with just the three genes (Hidden Gene Woma/Pastel/Yellow Belly) look different but are still plenty cool looking. I am going to have to settle for one of those since I don’t have Kevin’s Granite gene. Here is a quote from Matt in a post describing how he produced the Inferno.

It may be one of those things where Kevin didn’t know until later just what all of the ingredients were. Plus with Matt being his best friend he may have told him a little more than the anyone else.

I also find project secrets to be SILLY in almost every case. It is more times than not both bad for the project and business.

Still would love to see a picture of a Yellow Belly/Pastel/Regular Woma if there is anybody out there that has one as well as a Lesser/Regular Woma

According to NERD, the Soul Sucker and the Lesser-Hidden-Gene-Woma are different. They are listed separately and have different descriptions. Normal Lesser-Womas don't look anything like NERD's Lesser Woma.

    Hidden-gene Woma Lesser: http://www.newenglandreptile.com/ner...ll-python.html

    Soul-Sucker (Hidden-gene Woma + Lesser + Unknown): http://www.newenglandreptile.com/ner...ul-sucker.html

    Normal Woma Lesser: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...d.php?t=142040

I'm just going off their website, so maybe they've announced something different that isn't on their website that I haven't heard yet....
