    Re: Adult Pastels

    Here are some more:

First up is Banana, first picture at around 500 grams, next at 1400.

Then comes PB, my male Pastel. He browned out more than Banana, but is still nice looking. First picture at 200 grams, second and third at 900 grams with his girlfriend.

And last, some of his babies, at around 70 grams:

    Re: Adult Pastels

Here is my 06 Male. He browned out quite a bit... He now seems to have yellow sides comparable to the white side of a spider. I still think he has a wicked cool pattern though.

    Re: Adult Pastels

I seem to recall a few years ago when pastels were priced in the thousands, breeders claiming that brown pastels can throw bright yellow babies and vice versa. Similar to how a low white pied can produce high whites. For people that have bred pastels do you find this to be true? Or are people with brown pastels stuck with a lifetime of breeding brown babies...

IMO, no line is better than any other. You just have to look for the brightest, cleanest yellow hatchling you can find regardless of which line it happens to be.

Excellent snakes everyone! I love the blushing on a few of them!

Are there any indicators I could look for to determine weather my Pastel will brown...or at least to what degree?
