    Re: Venomous Yes Or No?

I have nothing against venomous but to tell you the truth i really do not like the look of about 99% of them. Also i don't enjoy owning something that will mess me up because of one small slip up.
    But everybody has there thing.

I just bought a gun, intend on getting a few more.

I'd love a motorcycle, venomous reptiles, and an ultralight airplane. The only thing keeping me from them is money.

I'm not an adrenaline junky, in fact with those things I'd be very safe, no stunting or anything with any of them.

I just don't let statistics keep me from enjoying the things that I like. I'd rather die in an accident while living life than die from old age hiding from it.

They are beautiful, but not being able to touch them just makes them a pain in the rear, hopefully not literally. Not worth it to me. If I want to stare at one I'll put a stuffed one in a tank. (not literally)

If it were BP's she wouldn't let, I'd be a diff story, but I can't really blame her about the venomous snakes haha.

    Re: Venomous Yes Or No?

I love venomous, but I would probably never keep them. I think alot of people get too comfortable with them, which a lot of times ends up in a bite.

This is by no means an insult to experienced venomous keepers

I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old. As long as you are not careless and know how to properly handle them and keep them in the right caging in a room locked then you should never have a problem. Its never even crossed my mind that one of my kids would end up getting harmed by a snake. If I thought for one second my children were in danger of any of my animals I would not own them. My fiance was VERY nervous about getting the cobra and when we actually got her she has relized that its no different then any other snake we own. Of course I handle them more carefully then I do my other snakes and I always clean there cages first so Im not tired or anything when I get to them. But I cant stress enough that responsible keeping does wonders and with it the risk is greatly minimized.

I love the Eastern Diamondbacks, I've had few passing through my yard before, one was a 6 footer, and an old one at that. Eastern Diamond backs, yellow Eyelash Vipers and Gabboon vipers would be my choice if I were to ever get into vemonous snakes.
