    Well I have ....

Elizabeth Isabella Bell...my son's normal BP that he got for his B-day from his grandma....the first thing he said when he saw her was Elizabeth...you are so beautiful...so the name stuck.

He use to have a corn snake named kicker...(great sense of humor that child) Unfortunately it got out at his fathers house....and was never found. He STILL talks about that snake. (stupid drunk girls should not be allowed to play with snakes)!! ugh...don't get me started...

Henry Reptar Bell is our Bee. My daughter named him and depending on what child you talk to it is either Henry Reptar or Reptar Henry. What ever...my hubby calls him King Henry.

Pickles. NAmely because the first time I saw him (was massively afraid of snakes before that) he was put on my shoulders and he laid there for about one second. then he decided to leave. I was standing up. After he hit the floor, he just looked up at me and I would like to believe his thought process was a little like: Hey...youkno....dawas a drop......yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaahhhh....is....iscold....pick me up.....you knoooow?

And I thought it sounded like pickles the drummer off of metalocalypse. Yes, I recognize my slight insanity.

    Re: Snake names

So far all of mine have names, but I might have to give up if the collection gets huge. I decided to go with a theme for the BPs, just to make things easier... all but Delilah (she was the first) are named after Shakespearean characters, which seemed appropriate since I'm a librarian. He also used some beautiful Italian & Latin names, which gave me a lot of good ones to use. Here they are:

Delilah (normal) - Only non-Shakespeare name, picked because of the meaning, "dark beauty" in Swahili - seeing as she's dark, beautiful and of African descent.

Toby (pastel) - At first I thought of going with a Hebrew Biblical theme, and found Tobias in a list of bible names. Then I switched to the Shakespeare theme, and this name happened to be on that list too (from Twelfth Night). Perfect!

Desdemona aka "Mona" (normal) - For some reason she looked like a Mona, the first time I laid eyes on her. Desdemona is from Othello, which also happens to be my favorite Shakespeare play.

Rosalind & Orlando (het albino pair) - Since I bought them as a pair to breed, I picked the Shakespearean lovers from As You Like It.

Pedro (Mojave) - I wanted a Spanish name for him, and "Don" Pedro is a character from Much Ado about Nothing.

Vincentio aka "Vinnie" (spider) - My roommate actually said he looked like a Vinnie, the first time I showed her his picture (from the breeder). There's a character named Vincentio in Measure for Measure, so I went with that.

Sunny (SHTCT Leopard Gecko) - She's not a BP, but I'll include her anyway... since she's a super hypo tangerine carrot tail, I immediately thought of bunny rabbits. I had a toy bunny growing up named Sunny, which also matched her orange sun-like pattern.

Sahara (LV Albino leo) - My other gecko, who was just adopted by my roommate when I discovered she was a HE. I originally named "her" after the Las Vegas Sahara Hotel, since the morph is called Las Vegas Albino.

    Re: Snake names

And just so the mammals don't feel left out...

Rudy Valentino, dog (40lb mutt) - I adopted him 2 weeks before Valentine's Day, and he charmed me with his big brown eyes... I thought of "Rudolph Valentino" while holding him at the pound, which combined those two thoughts perfectly.

Cyrus, cat - Since he's a Persian who thinks he's king of this castle, I named him after the Persian King "Cyrus the Great" (559 BC-530 BC). Another bonus is that I'm Jewish, and this king released us from slavery under his reign.

Bindi, cat - She's a little black & white tuxedo cat, and has this perfect bindi-like white mark on her forehead... at the time an Indian woman was working for me (at the library - where I actually found the cat living outside), and she suggested either Bindi or Shanti. She has NO idea what her name is, though, and only responds to Kitty.

I thought of going with that theme (royalty), but liked the sound of Shakespearean names better... royalty/leaders is a great theme, though!

    Re: Snake names

I dont have any names in stone yet... but for my normal female I kinda want to name her sheep. She has a mark on her sides that reminds me of a sheep. You can only really see it from the side, the part thats the ear actually goes all the way across the back so it doesnt look like a real sheep. But its good enough for me

Its the best thing ive come up yet.

or " ! " because she has a mark on her back of one. lol. idk how id say it though. "Exclamation point/mark!" - or maybe just the expression. No verbal name. The pastel that I should be getting by the end of the week I already have a name picked out I kinda want it to be sunshine. cause shes nice and yellow.
