Should I get a normal aswell?
Hey, im going down the mojave x lesser route and was wondering should i get a normal female to breed the lesser to aswell? I hear bob clark(e?) is coming over here again in december so if he is will get a female mojave from him and then a male lesser from CPR (or bob again, depending if he comes) sometime next year. Annnnnyway. If I want to I could pick up a normal female this week for £40, is it a good idea to get her aswell to breed to the lesser male for more chances of morphs?
thanks

Re: Should I get a normal aswell?
Way I see it unless you got a real genetic powerhouse male, not really worth it just for more snakes. Tho i did buy a few breeder ready females, just so i could get a little experience this year and figure things out b4 my morph girls grow up. so up to you, this sin't really a question you should be asking the forum lol. you should be able to figure out whats best for you.

Thanks for the reply.
I was more worried about if he would be able to "service" both females lol.

Oh cool. Is there any rules to double mating a male. A few days/weeks rest? between females?

I use a 3-4 day with a girl then 3-4 day rest...unless I see a lock right away ( I check a few times a day)....if there is a lock in the first day, I move him to a different female before I rest him

Oh yeah, no problem on that. I've heard of breeders cycling their males through 10-20 females per season (maybe more?), so they can definitely handle 2 ladies! Just make sure he gets regular breaks, or he could overdo it and get sick... I'm only breeding one pair right now, and it's my first ever, but I was told to do either 2 days on / 2 days off, or 3 / 3.
