I dont know if this is a stupid question or good question but i wanted to know how many times you should clean out the tank..... Do you HAVE to clean it it out every week or can you let it go a few more weeks if you just spot clean.... Anyone know a specific time limit you have to have till you clean a tank.. By the way i also use aspen have a few fake plants log and water dish thanks.

I hope you don't mean half log, and I certainly hope you don't just mean one half log.

Personally, I clean out my cages completely once a month - giving everything a good scrub and replacing all bedding. The rest of the time, I spot clean, fluff the aspen, and rinse/refill water dishes.

It all depends on how clean your snake is and how clean you want the cage to be.

Those hides are horrible, that's what he was getting out. Dollar tree stuff is way better, or plastic dog bowls for snakes under 1500-2000g.

    Re: Substrate Question

I remove urate and feces as they occur..."spot cleaning" but on the first of every month I remove everything and clean cage accessories/hides in very diluted bleach water and the physical tank with wipe out. Make sure the everything is aired out before you put your snake back in it's enclosure.

    Re: Substrate Question

I completely clean out tubs whenever someone poops or pees. I also have started using paper towels religiously. It is really amazing how much they pee. It usually ends up covering 1/2 of the paper towels. That to me is pretty gross and I almost always do a full tub scrub after they pee.

    Thats just me though
