That normal sibling has all of the same markings, the high white, the very light coloration and the reduced pattern.
Just thought I would throw that out there....

A bit off topic, but, did I notice that someone is claiming that het have certain markers to stand by?? Just thought I would point that out. I can tell the difference in all my hets.

I don't have much experience with dessert, but, after obsessing over pics of desert I would say the one on the right in the last pic looks a lot like a desert. Very nice project there!

Het russo isn't a recessive animal. It is a co-dom, part of the BEL complex.
And recessive Hets do not have reliable markers.

I quick read your post and seen "het" and "high white sides". I knew the russo was a codom...Duh! I should have read a bit slower.
