No pics of anything... lost all the pics in the fire, same with all the things I had made. (I seriously hate saying that all the time).
But I made 2 afghans for my place (and 2 for other people)... big uns too, lots of heavy wool sweaters (zippers and no zippers). Hoodies. All my nieces and nephews got afghans when they were born, and none of that mile a minute crap either (I kid - OK not really). Tons of hats and gloves and scarves and all that.
I do not know if you have ever checked into this, but alot of cities have donation orgs, where you knit or crochet up your left over yarn into a standard sized granny square and then they piece them together and make afghans for people that are terminally ill. I found them through the ASO that I was collaborating with at the time.
I did that for a LONG time and it was great. You get to do it in your spare time, but you do not have to commit to finishing the project. I got about 4 people doing it that had never K or C'd before. I mean granny squares are so easy.
I even went to one of their afghan-a-thons and it was me (I was 30 at the time) and about 8 women in their 70's. I ate more sugar coookies that day that I have ever even seen before!!! It was a blast. I took my friend Laur, a tatted up punk rock freak and she had so much fun.
So me... a woman with bright purple hair, and 8 women with blue hair.![]()
