    Re: SC vs. Ole Miss

I'm sorry but Penn State has and never will be a top 10 team. Ohio State lost to USC, which overall was a good game. The coach has about the easiest schedule, not to mention he only plays to my knowledge 2 legible teams. Ohio State & Michigan.

    EDIT:
A good team can lose to a bad team at any given time, it happens. It's part of football. All it takes is to have a few bad plays, other team gets some momentum, and bam, game over. This wasn't directed to the OP by the way. I think California has a better team than USC this year, but that's a big rival so there is a good chance USC may take the win. USC vs Ohio State was another pretty decent rival that has occured over the last few years.

As far as USC losing to Washington, what some people failed to realize is Washington was at home, which they have a very sick crowd, and it can get pretty loud there. They almost beat LSU also, them being at home again. I think they are a better team then what people give them credit for. A team that has nothing to lose and will play harder then a team that has something to lose in my opinion.

    I disagree.

If USC can go half way across the country and beat Notre Dame (which they have done the last 7 consecutive years, half home/away)...which has by FAR a stronger fan base then Washington...I think USC can handle going to play at Washington.

I think you are overlooking the most obvious advantage Washington had in that game.

...no not the 'sick' crowd for reasons stated previously.

But the fact that Washington's head coach was USC's offensive coordinator for the past 7 years. That was the advantage Washington had over USC this year.

That being said. I still dont think USC is a top 10 team.
-They are not stable at the QB position.
-And they are not the same high-power offense they once were...

I did not realize about the offensive coordinator thing, as I only really follow California & Florida State's college teams. I'm not saying that washington has a stronger fan base then ND, i'm just saying, i'm sure part of it has to do with being at home. They have a decent little crowd, was all I was saying.
