Re: Jungle Carpets Pythons
I know a very big breeder, he breeds a lot of things and he actually makes more money off 20 to 40 dollar corn snakes/rat/king and milk snakes. It's about quantity, not quality with most people. If someone can buy 20 corns for 15 dollars each and sell them for 25 later they will over one or two jags and make little profit margin. There is a market for nice animals, but the breeder has to know he can unload them. If he keeps them a year he loses more money than intended on feed and cage space.

Re: Jungle Carpets Pythons
If I had a sweet, trophy adult proven jungle, you wouldnt find her for sale, your not going to see adult nice normals for sale, your looking for stuff thats not advertised. Would you to sell an adult female pied proven breeder?
Yes you can buy 125$ jungles, but you always get what you pay for. nice adult normals are not for sale, there are also certain polygenic traits that are expensive as well and there not true mutations.
Co-dom mutations will never command the same money for the same period of time as any recessive. The carpet python market will go up, Normals will demand more money once there more popular, you have to understand the carpet community is relatively small, and you can only sell the same snakes to the same people before the people have everybodys stock, these mutations are the driving force behind popularity, however the Wild type pure stuff will hold its value and go up as more of these designer crosses are created.
