ok see thats all i was looking for is peoples info on it. and to mrs. Oxylepy you are tellin me if you seen a snake that was ill. you wouldt just let the snake stay with the owner to die? guy you are p.o.s any animal that you can take in and help. you should. not just fluff there pillow and let the snake die there. your mom should smack the poo out of you

I think your mom smacked you a little too hard, because obviously your brain isn't functioning too good now is it? Some people aren't looking to run an Animal Rescue Organization! They are looking to purchase healthy, High Quality, Animals to add to their collection... And you shouldn't be talking about
"any animal that you can take in and help. you should.", because you dont even know how to cure a respiratory infection...

and for the sake of your animals please do not believe that this is something that can be treated at home, take your animal to the vet.

The reason I don't do this is because I'm a college student and have enough money to take care of my snakes and myself, with a bit left over, and that's it. I can't afford to house sick snakes and risk the rest of my animals getting sick, and even risk my friend's animals getting sick just through contact with me as my entire living space becomes infected.

Then stop taking the responses personally and blowing up at people.

Thank you. My post wasn't to be mean, it's crucial that you get the animal to the vet, there isn't another way to treat RI, even if the animal seems to be doing better you want to get them to a vet.

If anybody has a question because their snake may have a RI, they can easily post the question theirself.

Which they do. Constantly. Every time someone who is inexperienced has a sick snake they ask. And while it can be minorly irritating seeing as how there are 5 other topics on the same thing on that page, I'm quite sure EVERYONE here will give them the same advice and not blow up at them. We've seen it a million times and we've reacted the same way each time, and we're not going to stop telling people to go to the vet. There is no ghetto cure for RI, you have to have antibiotics, and they need to be of the right type and amount for your specific snake.

see there is one guy who gets it. just trying to help others out in case they run into the problem. now the large font..lol just makes it easyer to read.

Perhaps you see it as easier to read, but myself I see it as extremely difficult to read. In order to even see the words you have to stand on the other side of the room or have eye problems.

First of all I'm a guy. Second of all you are referring to me as if I am old or married, and I think a lot of single women, and a handful of married women, would find that offensive. Use Ms. as a standard usage, this started in the 70s when the feminist movement kicked in.
