White millet seed as substrate?

I've heard of a lot of lizard owners (bearded dragons and another type of lizard whose species i can't remember for the life of me) using white millet seed as substrate, I was wondering what snake owners thought of this as well.

If you mist it might sprout haha. Depending on the size(the stuff we give our birds is quite small) I would be concerned about the snake breathing it in.
