I'm pretty sure my dad's milk snake is possessed...that thing is pure evil

But to be OT: If you were really just on your way home from a show, I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like you jingle your keys outside their tubs and make them get in the car with you all the time....lol...though that IS a hilarious visual.
