When in reality, they do crash/freeze/hang (even the new ones), they can get viruses they just own such a small percentage of the market no one wants to write any for them YET (plus they don't have any protection ex. firewall, anti-virus and spyware software), and all the media applications they promote are already on windows.
Woops I like to rant. I would definitely take a pc over a mac but I don't think either are terrible. I'm feel bad for mac users when all these issues pop up and they're kicking themselves in the butt for spending twice as much.
-giggle- Don't forget, most games are written for PCs. Which is why I love PCs.

Which also means the viruses have to be much more complex and even more difficult to delete or fix.

Yeah, gaming on the Mac doesn't suck, its virtually non existent. Oh well, that's why I have an Xbox and Wii.

Not at all - most *nix virii tend to be much simpler in implementation because they have to act upon a specific version of a service, library or application to exploit. The last one I remember seeing in the wild that had a decent rate of propagation was due to an openssl exploit that was externally exposed via Apache's SSL module - which was also extremely easy to clean once you were aware you'd been infected.
The problem with windows is that it's core libraries are full of exploits, and thus every application or service that is based upon these core libraries themselves become security risks. Combined with the general apathy and lack of understanding as to how to keep systems properly maintained and updated, and you end up with tens of millions of zombies nodes being infected, reinfected, and actively seeking out others to infect.

Re: Reason #1 to be a PC
I am a Ubuntu and PC user. I prefer ubuntu 9 out of 10 times, but programs I use dont run on *nix and its sucks having to load windows in ubuntu to do a few things.
Cool video

I use OSX, XP, and Ubuntu and have uses for them all. Most of the time I use my mac for internet browsing and such.
