Picked up another sweet female beta

aah.. you have been bitten by the betta bug. kewl... good luck with the bid. I look forward to pictures. I just transfered everyone from the 5g tank to a 10g. I'll have to take some pics and post them. its really sparse in the plant department but I'm in the process of getting more plants. now I have an emtpy 5g tank.. what to do what to do!!

Well the new "female" i bought is either a weird looking MALE or a grouchy female because it tried to kill my male when i placed them together .They were locked lips to lips after 10 minutes together and it was kissing .So i placed it with my confirmed female and they ignored each other .

Try giving the female her own home first. Then place a divider in her home and introduce the male. This is how many people who breed bettas introduce their pairs.

I did this and they were cool.I bought one of those plastic tanks that has a divider you can remove or use.I think its just a female now with a "spunky" attitude that needs to be tamed

I had a spunky female.....she murdered two of her boyfriends. She lives with my dad now lol.

just be careful because sometimes a male plakat can get mixed in with the females.. its very very very rare, but it does happen. Plakat males have short fins, but are typical males in that they will fight.

when the female is aggressive toward the male its because she a)is not in the mood and is telling him to back off or b) she is in the mood and he's too slow to get the job done try to introduce them again and see what happens. also look for the egg tube to make sure its a female. aren't bettas fun!!!

Well i can not say she is a definate female as she dropped eggs last night .It looks like she was a typical female that needed to be shown who the boss is .Women

Ok i guess since i cant have snakes where i live i will breed betas for awhile lol.So i found a sweet female beta thats multicolored today.The colors are whiteish body with blueish purple(2 shades) fins.She also has a frosted look to her lower fins .Yea i know you want pics ,i will see if i can borrow a dig camera .

Joe what town is it ?? You cant have snakes ??
