Yes, the room has to function as the office still, so we had to make sure everything fit well.

It was a bit of a pain to measure out all the furniture we were buying to make sure the cages and couches were fung shui.

Those are some nice looking cages. What wood did you use? Or is it melamine? I can't tell, the grain is too dark for my old eyes to tell if it's real or not.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

It's particle board with an oak veneer.

Excellent cage! If you ever build another one you should take step by step photos and put together a how to guide. You would be a hero among BP keepers!

Re: Finishing up another cage build.

Hope you don't mind me asking you few questions about your build. Your build has seriously lit a fire under my ass and want to build something just like it. I def don't want to "steal" but rather "borrowing" your build but with different wood and other materials. So...can you please tell me and rest of us who is interested into the details of your cages like heating, lighting, measurements, and ventilation system. It would be great.

I absolutely adore your display cages, its just awesome!

I'll do my best. The cages outer dimensions are 4 x 2 x 2. The wood is 3/4".

The lighting an heating are duel purpose. I keep their room warm 80-85, so the bulb only has to add a few degrees to the cages. I use those energy star bulbs. (warm to the touch)

There are two, 2.5" Vents in each side. For now they vent fine. I do plan on building up a small fan for one of the vents to move air through. When I do this, I'll try to do a step by step.

Let me know what more you'd like to know, I'll do my best to answer.
