Re: My new baby bumblebee :)

Oh wow she's gorgeous!!! VERY nice pick up

Babies always seem to be on the snappy side, I'm sure she'll grow out of it. I've only got one juvenile that's on the grouchy side. He'll strike at me every now and again, and he hisses all the time, but he's all show. Once I pick him up he's fine.

    Very hot.

I can see a dinosaur being offered a treat by a dolphin in her pattern.

She's beautiful! My new het hatchling is very snappy, but I can tell it's out of fear... so I'm just taking things REALLY slowly, like resting my hand on the tub lid for a few minutes (since he gets nervous by that action). I'll start handling him once he's digested yesterday's meal, and plan to use all the tips mentioned above. Good luck to both of us, LOL!

P.S. Their bites really don't hurt - I've been tagged by my juvenile girl, and it hurt less than a paper cut. But the gloves do help mentally, since they keep you from flinching.

Re: My new baby bumblebee :)

Very nice snake, love the coloring and pattern. Usually, a snappy snake means a snake that will be a good eater, usually. You can buy a small snake hook if you want, or, just be very careful taking her out of her tub, and once they are out, most calm down.

I sold a Sulfur Mojave that I called Dr. Evil. He snapped at me everytime he could. I would hear a tap on a tub, and it was him trying to get me I warned the new owner, who emailed me from a cell on their way home from the airport, that he was sitting on her wrist, and she was petting his head So, some change of scenery might make them calm down too, or maybe Dr. Evil just hated me and the waif

Good luck with your Bee, it is stunning.

    Dave

thanks a lot for the advice, the breeders said it's just a natural reaction out of fear, i'm doing the same slowly but surely! hopefully we'll both avoid getting tagged lol good luck to! xx
