Snake oil as a shedding aid

Yeah and putting scented aromatic oils on a snake is kind of ridiculous. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Its not scented nor is it aromatic...where would you get that idea?

I use it about once a month too. I just coat my hands with it and rub it on the snakes so it isn't too thick or soaking. The snakes seem to like it. After a minute or two they will just lay there and chill out. One day my little guy relaxed enough that he pooped on the desk... ... Fortunately I had him on a towel...

It also contains citrus oil, which is TOXIC to dogs and cats, sure a snake isn't a dog or cat but gosh, citrus oil sure does strip motor oil off my hands easily.

Yeah that stuff is about as aromatic as the motor oil youre taking off your hands. I dismiss your comments too, Im lookin for some solid proof that this stuff is no good for my snakes.

Then just BUY SOME since it seems you'll just "dismiss" or rule "invalid" any comments that point out how stupid this product is or bring up facts about it's contents!

Well I got to get back to my snakes, I'm spraying them with oven cleaner since I heard it clears up mites and stuck shed all at once...

BTW I'll add one more thing that you can dismiss at your own discretion. I seem to remember you being against using pine bedding for snakes or even rodents. The reason for this is the pine oil in the pine bedding which is what causes all the problems and gives it it's aromatic smell.
So why is it okay to rub a snake down with something that contains a known toxic ingredient that kills dogs, cats, is used as an insect repellent and industrial degreaser?

Ok. One website claims it has JoJoba and Citrus Oil. Another website doesn't say anything about Citrus Oil. I am reading the ingredients on my bottle... Jojoba and Citrus Oil are not listed. I have the manufacturers phone number and will call them tomorrow to see if they can confirm or deny...

i got zoo med shedding aid.... spray on. it worked a little bit. after i sprayed it my snakes stuck shed started comming off a little bit more. It does make them shine... Also says its fine to use on snakes and reptiles... obviously.

I get this, consistently, from multiple websites:

"Safflower oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, wheat germ oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera oil, and citrus oil.
"
"CONTAINS THE BENEFICIAL OILS OF THE TEA TREE AND NEEM TREE"

Now Im not sure, but I have been told many times that tea tree oil is not good for dogs either.
