"sticky-ish" stuff on scales left over from shed?

I had this happen before when she had her first shed with me, and there was a lot of it, but this time when she shed there is only a little on her body and head. I went to the pet store the day I noticed it (when she had her first shed with me) and one of the employees told me to just put baby oil on it and it will go away (I didn't do it though). I have no idea really what it is and what causes it, but here are some pictures and maybe you can tell me what it is and possibly what causes it.

Just some drier scales. One layer of the new skin came off with the old shed. Continue to improve on your humidity and it will go away with your next shed. Nothing to worry over or do anything to make her look any better. It's not bothering her, so don't let it bother you!

I had this problem for a while, too, and I would not recommend any kind of oil to put on reptiles. I tried it for a while (with no results) before I was informed by my vet that oil does not help reptiles at all. I just increased the humidity, and after a few sheds, all the dry spots went away.

I agree here, I would NOT put baby oil on a snake. That just sounds like a bad idea to me.
baby oil is made out of :

Purified Water, Mineral Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Aloe Vera Extract, Fragrance, Calendula Extract, Vitamin E Acetate, Methyl Paraben, Chamomile Oil, Propyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben.

I can see like 6-7 things I wouldnt want to put on my snakes based off of that list.
