I suppose... but like I said, the spider I ended up buying (from Jake Wallace) is just as pretty - if not prettier - and only cost $250. I believe their prices have less to do with the quality of the snakes (which is great), and more to do with where they're located. Everything around here is more expensive, unfortunately.

I second Ed's idea to check with some of the breeders that frequent this site. Post an ad in the wanted/for sale section and see what happens
I third that! When I was looking for a breeding-size female, I posted a wanted ad here and got immediate responses... ended up choosing a beautiful girl from J&J Reptiles, and couldn't be happier with her.

Anyone who told you that is being untruthful. All Spiders come from an original founding animal. All Spiders have the capacity to wobble at some point in their lives and in some way, either minor or major. That right there is the reason you should want to purchase from a quality breeder. I agree with Ed and Walter. Don't be afraid to get an animal shipped to you and don't be afraid to pay a little more for quality. It's not all about price...

I've heard a lot of debate on this issue, along with the caramel kinking... but it seems you are right, or at least that you can't guarantee a "wobble-free" spider. When I asked about that with my new spider, he replied that the sire has a slight wobble, but all babies seem wobble-free so far. Does that seem like a fair & honest response?

That is a fair and honest response in my book as long as the person given that information understands that the wobble can pop up at any time in that animal or it's offspring. When it comes to wobbling, kinking, duckbilling, etc then full disclosure is the only way to go. Unfortunately it doesn't always happen.

That's great to know, thanks. I truly believe this new owner is more of a salesman than I thought he would be...
