    strange things BP does

I noticed the hide move from the corner of my eye so I go look and find my BP somehow moved the hide on top of himself or he may have burrowed under the side of the hide and was stuck. I lifted the hide off of him and he was very frightened. I held him for a while and he seemed to be calm when I put him back in his cage and now all he is doing is roaming around trying to escape. Anyone else have this happen?

Yeah. Sometimes when I take the snakes out they roam for a while after. Nothing to worry about.

Mine always seem to "investigate" their cages when they go back in. Unless they just ate, then they grab a drink of water on the way into their hides.

    Re: strange things BP does

Here is another strange thing my BP did. He got himself stuck again. I got up this morning and found him stuck in the screen. I don't know how long he was like this. I had a heck of a time getting him unstuck. Opening either side would have squished him. Sorry about the bad pic and I hope I never have to take one like this again.

Can you get me a clear picture of the top view of the screen? The pic is blurry and it kinda seems invisible in the middle. Also it could be because I just woke up but, can you snab a top view picture?

From inside or from the outside?

    Re: strange things BP does

So if I understand correctly, he got wedged between the screen and one of the sides that lifts up?

I would definately find some sort of way to fix the mesh where it seems to be sticking out, I just foresee that being a possible injury to your bp from it stabbing him. I would see about getting a different top if you can't find something to do so the screen isn't sticking out like that.

    Re: strange things BP does

This morning I noticed the white thermometer (the one in the right corner in the pic at post #7) was in the water dish. My BP did wrap around that a lot. Now it doesn't work anymore.

Fiesty lil guy! Heheheh! Definitely fix the screen and get a new thermometer, sounds like your lil guy is a trouble maker Mine just took off her digital therm this morning too, she liked to scale the side of the tank and sit on it, shes too chunky now
