One bad experience reported with a breeder is enough for me.

Why risk dealing with someone who has a few dings on their reputation when there are so many more breeders out there with flawless reputations.

Save your money and buy from a reputable dealer.

Stay away from Allen.

What if the bad rep was from a misunderstanding or an outright lie? I would hate for one dis-satisfied customer to ruin my whole business, or someone who lies about me. I remember a post on here a while back where someone was saying that they had a bad experience with BHB and that people should not buy from him. Would you not buy from BHB now since one person said they had a bad experience with him? I highly doubt it. I knew that poster was lying, so it did not let it change my opinion on BHB.

Another thing, Allen told me that he invited a few of the people to visit his facility that was making these accusations against him. He said that he even offered to pay for their trips. They all refused.

I have the utmost respect for you and think you are a quality person, but please take some time to read the posts and the eye witness accounts by Byron Adzic from the time that he worked for Allen Belcher. Belcher is a first rate slimebag. Like everyone else has said, what I have seen is enough evidence for me.

This isn't the case of one person saying he is a bad guy and everyone else disagreeing. The consensus in this industry is that Allen Belcher is a bad guy. The numerous threads back that up. You don't see these threads even started about good guys.

First off....comparing BHB to Allen is comical.

Second of all. It is as simple by reviewing the breeders feedback. I have heard WAY more bad experiences with Allen than I have good. You may be the 4th or 5th person I have heard of who has had a successful experience.

Again...I know MANY breeders who have great reputations. Why gamble on doing business with Allen when there are SO many bad experiences reported?

I wasn't comparing him to BHB. I was just using BHB as an example. I know that there is no comparison of the two.

I can't check fauna because I am at work, but I will check it later once I am at home.

In my defence, I bought the animals from him before I checked fauna. I called him after about it becasue I was worried about IBD. He told me his side of the story, which is what I am relaying to you. BTW, the animals that I got from him are all still doing great.

I am sorry, but other than maybe a couple of people that have had something positive to say, all I've ever heard (not just on the BOI, but also from local breeders) has been very negative. I can't say that I have purchased from him (which I did not say), but that is because I would not purchase from him. I understand what you are saying, and I am all for giving the benefit of the doubt, but I posted in this thread because in this case I believe buying from him could be a mistake.

No worries. I am not on the defensive. And if you had a positive experience, then you should report it as such.
