    Re: Big Daddy Ballroom?

Wonder if the local F&W would shut him down?

    Re: Big Daddy Ballroom?

I have bough from Allen, and he seems like a real nice guy. From what I understand, there has been a lot of thing blown way out of proportion that he has tried to resolve, but once flaming on the net gets started there is no way to stop it. He told me that people are upset with him, and want to run him out of the business, because he drops his prices before most others. People feel that he is a market crasher, and want him gone. I am not saying that I personally know him, but I have bought from him and am very happy with my purchase.

    Hope this helps.

Everyone that has said negative things about him in this thread, have you personally done any business with him, or are you just basing your opinion on what others have said about him? Just wondering.

There are threads about him that have nothing to do with his price dropping. I would worry more about the potential for unhealthy animals coming out of his facility. He has a history of being shady that is out there for everyone to see.

When this all started i contacted Allen directly. He started this line of bull just like he told you that everyone is picking on him because he is a good ole boy .Point blank he is scum! His prices have nothing to do with it.Its called IBD in his collection and thats enough for me to steer clear of him.

The proof of IBD being in some snakes he sold was enough for me to avoid him.

Take a look at these pics and the proof and then see if you want to buy from him. http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...light=bigdaddy

Ive talked to him in person and I would never do business with him. Hes the most arrogant person Ive ever met. He labels his snakes as something "Special" When they are not. His purple haze retics are nothing but purple retics there no different then bobclarks, prehistoric pets, mike wilbanks. His hypo burms are not hypos. They look nothing more then indian crosses

He told me that he has never had IBD, and there was no proof. He said that if someone could prove that he sold a snake with IBD that he would make the situation right. From what he said, and I have heard many other say, vets will diagnose a snake with IBD anytime it has a neurological problem. I have even heard of vets diagnosing spider balls with IBD because they don't know what else it could be.

I don't know whether the snake had IBD or not, but if his collection had IBD, then all of his ball pythons would have been dead within weeks. But this is years later, and he still has his collection, which to me proves that it could not have been IBD.

    Re: Big Daddy Ballroom?

My opinion is that the BOI is there to keep me from buying from a breeder (or broker, whatever) that could be selling sick snakes, fake hets, etc. So, unless there is one negative post about someone but several positive ones, I will have to take the feedback posted on the BOI at face value. And there are way too many negative posts about the seller in question for me to even consider buying from him.

My question is how many people have actually done business with him and had a bad experience? I have read over many of the negative posts and it seems to me that one person claims to have a bad experience then everyone else jumbs on the bandwagon. Personally, I have had a good experience with him; although, I have only dealt with him one time. He seems to sell out every year, and produced a lot of snakes, so I am sure that there are others that have had good experience with him also. He actually told me not to defend him on the net because people would probably turn against me, but I am not that type of person. I am not defending his character or saying that others are lying about him, but I have had a good experience with him and would consider buying from him again.
