I live in Eugene, Oregon. I have balls, corn snakes, Taiwan beauty snakes, and a black rat snake and a Texas rat snake. So I am no stranger to snakes but I never have even thought of owning a boa. This poor guy was a rescue because they where even afraid of feeding him because "he is nippy". Shoot-fire my Taiwan beauties ARE nippy, they will nail you every chance they get and make some chances (that is why they are my ROOMMATE'S snakes )
This guy was just scoping out the lay of the land, the only time he struck was when my big dufas of a dog came up and that was not his fault. I even let him crawl on my chest and looked him all over and he was cool with getting taken in and taken out of his cage. I think they didn't want this guy, he looks a bit thin, but again I am not sure how "fat" these guys are suppose to look.
